Its that time of the year again where I go a little crazy and coagulate all the work I have made and accumulated over the last year to orchestrate a yearly solo show. This year I am super pleased and honoured to announce that the show is up and running at the beautiful Galerie ERGA located in little Italy at 6394 Boul. Saint Laurent in Montreal. Its been up since today and we have already had quite a few visitors! Ill be camping out here until Tuesday afternoon, so please stop by!
If you happen to be near the neighbourhood (or know of anyone who is), please feel free to drop by at any point tomorrow as of 10am. Id also love to cordially extend the open invitation to anyone interested in joining us for the opening/Vernissage from 6-9pm tomorrow with some wine, refreshments , music, good times and conversations.
70% of the sales from our Sales Point Table (image below) will be donated to the following local organizations:
Canadian Council for Refugees
Mouvement Contre le Viol et L'inceste
Immigrant Workers Centre / CTI
Come out and see some new work, get a nice beverage on the house and contribute to a few good causes!
Hoping to see a good turn out!

May 2016,
Thank you to everyone who took the long trip to the beautiful Galerie de la Ville in Dollard Des Ormeaux last April 24th for my big solo opening!
Although the distance was a little further than expected, the space and the people/feedback were well worth it! It is by far the biggest gallery space I have shown in thus far. I am very happy with the outcome and thrilled about the way it was set up and curated. It was also, I say very proudly, the very first show in which I was invited to and payed for showing!!!!! I can't begin to explain how exciting this is, since I have spent a month out of each year since 2012 dedicating my time to finding an affordable space to show in for one week due to finances. But this year, this amazing and glorious space was offered to me at the perfect time, with the perfect amount of prep time allotted and with compensation!!! They took care of my invites, press release, etc! I am so fortunate and happy to have been given this amazing opportunity.
Im sorry I hadn't posted anything in a while, but the work is all new and took a while to finish! I didn't want to disappoint and just wanted to do justice to the amazing space and opportunity.
You will find some pre-show-set-up images bellow as well some of the work hung. I also have a video I want to share with you all, but I can't seem to figure out how to post it just yet... Stay tuned though, Im bound to figure it out!

Id love once again to invite you to come and join me at the Expressions Artistiques d’ici et d’ailleurs Festival in La Salle, next Wednesday August 19th from 5-7pm where my art work is on display at the beautiful Art Gallery inside Centre Culturel et Communautaire Henri-Lemieux, 7644 rue Edouard, LaSalle.
The festival is an initiative of l’Accueil pour Immigrants et Refugies of Montreal that has been running and advocating the idea and ethos of welcoming inter-cultural integration within the island of Montreal.
Each year, an eclectic program is proposed to discover four different visual artists and to be mesmerized by the beauty of Flamenco, Jazz, Bolero, Mexican folklore and the beautiful music of Los Viejha.
I am pleased and very honoured to announce that this year I was one of the four artists chosen to show art work in this lovely and thoughtful event.
Please join me for some refreshments and lovely music for the opening night of my portion of the show!
Looking forward to closing summer with this lovely event and in your company!
Below is a sneak peak to the lovely venue and what is to be expected in it!

Originally from Mexico, Garcia-Fialdini’s contribution of body of work was created around the idea of capturing some of Montreal’s landscapes and personally documented stories that form part of it in the past and present. Using both portraiture and the abstract study of urban landscapes to capture the essence of Montreal, Garcia-Fialdini based each individual work around specific stories collected from the city’s vibrant community of both native and immigrant inhabitants using a different array of mixed media.
Thanks to everyone who came out to support us! Keep posted for the next show in a couple of weeks! Merck tout le monde!

Once again, it is that time of the year.... where I stress out and gather all of my strength to pull together the year's work in one exhibition. Hopefully it will all be worth it yet again!
Yesterday I dropped off the work at the beautiful L'espace Contemporain, Galerie d'art on 5175 Ave. Papineau.
This rainy morning I was there at 11am ready to help with the set up, and I have to say Im pretty happy with how the set up seems to be going and what it promises. Ive included a sneak peak/preview of what is to come!
Im very much looking forward to this Friday evening and hope there will be a good turn out as well as hopefully some positive reactions to this year's new body of work and themes.
I hope you can all make it!
Ill make sure to report back on the outcome soon and to post pictures of the opening night as well as this year's work soon.

This Monday evening Ill be flying out to Chelsea London, UK for my first year participating in Chelsea's Parallax Art Fair, held at Chelsea Town Hall, London, UK.
Im very excited and working hard to control my nerves. Not sure yet what to expect, but Im happy knowing I worked hard on the pieces I will be showcasing next week. I will be posting images from the Fair in the next week or so as well as a written review of my experience.
Also, Id like to take this opportunity to mention that this coming Wednesday October 22nd from 5-7pm three new works will be showcased at the beautiful Galerie Gora on 279 Sherbrooke West, Montreal, Qc at a collective group show that the gallery is having.
I have been working hard for a few years now to have the opportunity to show at Galerie Gora and feel very privileged to finally get the chance to do so next week. Please come by for a nice evening of art in a lovely space in down town Montreal if you are nearby!
Looking forward to the next week of art action and I will also be posting images from the opening night in this fantastic venue in the next week or so.
Until then!

This Saturday April 19th from 6pm-9pm I will be hosting my annual solo-show at the beautiful Galerie ESPACE, 4844 Saint-Laurent, here in Montreal. I am both excited and very nervous, because I clumsily decided to have it on Easter weekend. I really hope people are able to make it out, and I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and new ones. Keep posted for the new work that Ill be putting up on my 2014 Portfolio. It should be up a few days after the reception, to avoid spoiling visual surprises.
Im the most exited to see hear feedback on this years video component of the show in special collaboration with amazing film artist and friend Elena Petkovic, and a new musical collaboration with a secret featured Montreal based musician.
Come by for some great music, wine, cheese and art dialogue!
Hope to see you all there!

So, I officially FINALLY posted pictures from my last solo show/event SEVEN months later!!! I know it is very late of me to post this, but I would still like to give a huge shout out and thank you to all my friends/family/loved ones that showed their support in many more ways than one. The show wouldn't have been possible without any of you, and a particular BIG thanks to my dad who put up with my whining and cursing throughout the entire set up, and helped make magic happen.
Im working hard on setting up the next big solo-one, come February 2014. Its very exciting already.
Im looking forward to Fridays' show at Griffintown School of Art, 5 pm-9 pm. I hope there will be a big turn out and that people will be happily surprised with the new work being shown. Im also really looking forward to seeing all of the other instructors work!

Tomorrow is the Gallery Opening Evening. Im very excited/nervous, and just realized that it was a year come tomorrow, that I celebrated the opening to my MFA graduating thesis show; nice way to mark the occasion. The space looks great in my opinion, and minus some inevitable last minute complications, I look back and honestly believe It was a good solid choice.
Ill be posting some pictures in the next few days of the event, work and set up. Keep posted!!!

Pre-Korporeal Show for Graduating MFA Exhibition, coming up this April 14th 2012
Its official, I most certainly have pre-show jitters. Its so close, yet so far. Im not the biggest fan of last minute details, but I've been given good advice to try and enjoy them as much as possible.
I've updated the website with what is currently up in its most raw of forms, which Im trying to feel good about. I debated updating it once I had nice photos of it all fully up at the opening, but I think the process and in-betweenness is really important. Therefore, I hope this can make do for now, until Saturday when I get some nicer quality pictures. Stay posted on up and coming images, I promise they'll be nicer and crisper.
This has been a very exciting and rewarding experience, and its safe to say Ill never forget my time here.
Im keeping my fingers crossed, hoping to see a nice turn out this coming Saturday at 6pm for both a good night and to raise some more awareness. Thank you to everyone in advance who has both put up with my end of semester stress and who has supported me throughout this amazing experience. I could not thank you guys enough, whether you're close or far away.
Special thanks to the mural voulenteers: Zoe Shulman, John Freeman, Betty Connelly, Jonathan Pivovar, Jill Miller, Jordan Pemberton and Sarah Groh, Angelalynn Dunlop, Andrew Nielsen and Haynes Goodsell this past 2011-2012 on both large scale murals. This would have not been possible without you guys.

Gallery Show Opening for 5th Annual 126 Members Show
So a few of us showing drove down to Galway Wednesday late afternoon for the opening. It was really nice, and although its a pretty compact space, it fit quite a good crowd of both viewers and local artists. I was pretty psyched to have my first International Show at a gallery overseas. There was good conversation and drink and very importantly... cheese. I took a few pictures from the day we drove down to drop off our stuff, pre- set-up, and a few at the Vernissage.
It was quite a pleasure to see the stencils starting to migrate out of my studio. I know its just one at a time, but I have a strong feeling that they'll be hitting Irish streets before Spring. It'll also be nice to see how they integrate into urban space, and maybe ask around for some feedback on what people think about them or if they raise any questions at all on the subject matter. Im still playing around with the idea of maybe making it less subtle and incorporating an NGO's web link into them so people look it up themselves. Food for thought.
